What exactly does the PDF E-mail Overlay do?

1/. E-mail correspondence (confirmation letters, tax invoices etc.) in PDF format.
This can be done when e-mailing correspondence in bulk from the main Correspondence screen or individually from the Personal Details Correspondence screen.

You also have a choice between PDF E-Mail correspondence in Times New Roman or Arial font. The Arial font version also changes all printed versions of correspondence into Arial.

2/. Convert any reports/letters into a PDF file by printing to the Win2PDF software / printer driver.

Win2PDF is a software program that allows you to create PDF versions of any Summit reports/letters as well as any other documents. Please note, Win2PDF does not provide any mechanism for viewing PDF files. This still requires Adobe Acrobat or the free Acrobat Reader.

I have Adobe Acrobat, can I use that instead of Win2PDF?

Unfortunately not, Adobe Acrobat will prompt you for a file name for every report/letter that is converted to PDF format. This would be undesirable if you were completing a bulk e-mail run of 300 confirmation letters.

How much does the PDF E-mail Overlay cost?

The ability to send e-mail in PDF format is a feature that is planned for the version 11 upgrade of Summit Event Manager - Pro. However, we have had many requests for this feature and decided to 'back date' it for version 9 so you don't have wait until the release of version 11.

If you purchase the PDF E-mail Overlay and then upgrade to Version 11, we will discount the cost of the PDF Email Overlay from the upgrade price. E.g. AUD $330 for the Times New Roman font version and AUD $440 for the Arial font version.

Is the PDF E-mail Overlay available for Summit Event Manager - Light?

No.

Where do I get a copy of Win2PDF?

The Win2PDF installation program is available from our website and is included on the PDF Email Overlay (Arial Font) CD.

Do I have to purchase a licence for Win2PDF?

A licence is included with the initial purchase of the PDF Email Overlay and additional licences can be bought.

You may also use an evaluation version of the Win2PDF software. This version will occasionally display a reminder dialogue with registration information and also add an extra page to each converted report/letter which will contain Win2PDF advertising. Purchasing a licence and registering the software removes this.

How much does Win2PDF cost?

Additional licences can be purchased for $AUD44 each from MIE Software.
