  • Modified Delegates By Registration Date report to save under the correct name when sent to Win2PDF.
  • Modified catering events screen so that if people button is clicked when Count Method is set to Minimise, the minimised list of people is displayed.

  • Modify the way listings are opened from the Reporter to work around a bug introduced with Access 2010 Service Pack 1 that ignores report WHERE clauses when recordsets are altered dynamically on report open.

  • Modified Deletes by Registration Date and Delegates by Registration Type reports to exclude people that only had social add-ons. I.E. to appear on the report, a person must have a registration type or at least one registration type add-on.
  • Increased length of session code to 20 characters. Only applies to events created with version 9.78 or later.
  • Modified handling of papers so that blind review listings can now use either the user entered abstract number or the system generated unique counter. This means that users do not have to enter an abstract number to use the blind review listings.

Fixes

  • Corrects an error where Internet Assistant could overestimate block bookings on a person's check out date.
  • Corrected technical requirements wording on Presenter Details screen.

New Features

  • Modified e-mailing correspondence from the Personal Details screen so that e-mail can not be sent and user is warned if the e-mail address is not valid.
  • Modified Reporter extended export to meet new airline frequent flyer reporting requirements. This has required reducing the number of sessions exported form 14 to 10.
  • Modified marking process to reflect that day registration add-ons in student assignment are now Monday and Tuesday instead of Friday and Saturday.

Fixes

  • Corrected an error where a requery error is displayed after producing receipts from the main Correspondence screen.
  • Corrected an error where last reporter e-mail date and last reporter form letter date did not display correctly on Name Plus. listings on the Reporter. Correction only applies to event files created using version 9.76 or later.

New Features

  • Minor change to display of time/date controls on Internet assistant.
  • Modified display of registration type, add-on description and session description on Reporter as display of these was not consistent across all Office platforms when selecting registration type, add-on or session on the Participation tab.
  • Replaced macro to open trade details screen with code.
  • Modified diplay of equipment requirement details on Presenter Details form to avoid mismatched master child fields on some Access 2007 systems. Also prevents selection of equipment if no presentation is selected.
  • Added the ability to import a generic frequent flyer/loyalty number (one that is unrelated to a travel or accommodation booking.
  • Modify extended export from Reporter to add the following columns: Registration Date, Payment Amount, Payment Type, Payment Date and Receipt Date. Also reduces the number of sessions reported from 15 to 14.

Fixes

  • Corrected an error where group receipts did not display from the money menu for a person who has just been made a financial group leader.
  • Corrects a problem with registrations being processed into the wrong event file when a client has multiple on-line registration forms and some event files have names with similar endings.

  • Modified function attendance list reports to show post nominals if required.
  • Modified Internet Assistant so that WebLink fields can not have a leading space as this prevents the Internet Assistant from cross-matching the field.
  • Modified travel sub report on Delegate Confirmation Letter without money for better handling around page footers.
  • New presenter report: Abstract Booklet with Presenter Biographies.
  • Modified Install Custom Update process to ensure that errors in user created custom update files do not cause Summit to attempt ot run non-existent Loader macro.

  • Modified Travel form so that no error is reported if block booking check is On but there are no block bookings under Flights on the setup menu.
  • Modified Event Options form so that User Defined Field Names 1 to 5 are checked as soon as entered for conflict with standard Summit field names.
  • Changed all mail merge functions to use Excel as a datasource rather than a comma delimited text file as some countires use commas as the comma causes a conflict in countries that use the comma as a decimal separator.
  • Modified Internet Assistant to keep processing through Inbox after encountering a corrupt message or a message with embedded attachments. Details of number of unreadable Inbox items is added to the Internet events log and not displayed as a separate message box warning.
  • Modified Tax Invoices Report and Receipts Reporter so that their reports open more quickly with Office 2007 and Office 2010 and improve display of filter headings with Office 2007 and Office 2010.
  • Modified event open process to refresh link to master database.
  • Modified macro that forces setting of Outlook Object Model reference to display a completion message if user initiated.

  • Modified software registration process so that registration actions are more clear and also removed any macros from the process as these can cause issues on runtime installations.
  • Modified error checking in Internet Assistant Check Mail function to check for Express Click Yes and report accordingly.
  • Reduced time that block booking check takes after updating a hotel booking record. 10 to 40 times faster than current function on Access 2007 and Access 2010.

  • Modified software initialisation process to clear last custom update details.
  • Enhanced Internet Assistant error reporting to more correctly identify corrupt e-mails or e-mails withour received date/time.
  • Added the ability for user to locate Outlook Object Library file 'msoutl.olb' by browsing for it if normal adding of reference by GUID fails. Also added ability to run the set Outlook reference function from Run Macro on the After Menu.
  • Modified Internet Assistant Check Mail Now function to ignore non-mail objects.
  • Modified presenter confirmation letter so that presentation details on the presenter confirmation letter are now in Session Date, Session Time then Order In Session order.
  • Optimised some memory intensive reporting calculations to use less memory on Office 2007 and Office 2010.

  • Corrected an error where Presentation Details report did not display correctly when opened from the Reporter if Confirmed Presenters was also selected.

  • Corrected an error where user is prompted with message profile warning when e-mailing by double-clicking on a person's e-mail address.
  • Corrected an issue where an e-mail with no attachment could not be sent from Summit if Outlook was not open.
  • Corrected an error where last mail check time on Internet Assistant was not updated correctly.


From 9.68 - 9.69 (released 09 July 2010)

New Features

  • Changed e-mailing interface in Summit to use the Outlook Object Model (OOM) rather than Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) as CDO can not be installed on computers that do not have Outlook 2007 or earlier versions of Outlook installed. This means that a new computer with Windows 7 and Outlook 2010 can not install CDO.
  • Modified Open Event screen.
  • Added the ability for Access 2007 and Access 2010 users to switch between standard preview and report view when previewing reports on the Global Options screen. Standard Preview displays the report more rapidly, but does not display any text dynamically generated after preview. Report View will display the text dynamically generated after preview, but is considerably slower and can cause "out of memory" and other display problems with larger or more complex reports.

  • Corrected an error when Edit was selected form the Tax Invoices Reporter with selection based on Organisation.
  • Corrected an error where a person could be allocated an extra place in tabling and seating if the catering event is inclusive for full registrations and the person was already registered and they then changed their registration type.
  • Corrected an error where tax invoices did not preview correctly when produced from the Personal Details Correspondence screen if Mark As Copy was selected.

New Features

  • Modified the bulk correspondence production process to better indicate at what point a production error occurred.
  • Modified conversion form Light Version 10 to include Organisers.
  • Modified Travel Updater so that blank Class, Fare Basis and Flight Numbers can be replaced by data. Field to be checked for blank is entered as Null.
  • Added Cardholder Name to Personal Details report.
  • Increased sorting requirements for Travel by PNR report called from Travel Reporter.
  • Modified swap and clear table routine in tabling and seating.
  • Modified underlying source of Participation and Financial Status (Event Charges Only) report to pick up non-delegates with add-ons (e.g. Cancellation fee as add-on).
  • Increased length of Description in Group Options table from 50 to 255 characters for more consistency with cross matched fields in other tables.
  • Modified Install Custom Update, Ctrl+W and Where Am I functions to also display the most recent custom update file applied.

Fixes

  • Corrected a problem where an error message would be displayed when updating the Hotel Booking screen if there are block bookings and there is also delegate sharing.
  • Corrected an error where Arial financial group tax invoice did not display correctly on Access 2003 SP3 or higher.

New Features

  • Improved import from master database functionality.
  • Modified Internet Assistant processing of add-ons so that a person can be assigned ad--ons even if they are already registered (i.e. second or subsequent visit to registratation page). Only check now is that they have not previously been assigned any of the add-ons they are now selecting.
  • Modified create custom update file to be able to add to an existing cdb file as well as create a new one.

Fixes

  • Corrected an error where "sub"names did not display correctly on group statement/invoices.
  • Corrected a problem with booth display order on Organisations By Booth Number in Access 2007 and Access 2010.

  • Added membership number to the Reporter extended export.
  • Modified global form format change functions to always skip the Sessions form because of the conflict with the Sessions form and Office 2003 Service Pack 3.

New Features

  • Software now checks integrity of table links after creating a new event, opening another event and starting the software. This is to prevent users inadvertently having data open in a second event file due to a network or system problem while opening or creating an event.

Fixes

  • Corrected an error where previously e-mailed receipts and tax invoices could be re-emailed from the Correspondence screen.
  • Corrected error where group receipt did not hide header and footer correctly.

  • When prompting for the file name or a custom update file, default file name is now based on current date.

SMS messages can be sent singly from the Personal Details screen (by double-clicking on the Mobile/Cell field) or in multiples from the Reporter.   • Modified allocate payment screen to correct an error in total recalculation when travel or accommodation amounts altered when using Access 2007.
  • Added the ability to requery a form's underlying recordset without having to close and re-open the form. User presses Ctrl+r.

New Features

  • New process to enable users to make a custom update file containing any objects (forms, reports etc.) that they have created or modified. They can then re-apply their modifications after updating their software.
  • Modified session and catering event creation process to prevent sessions and catering events from being set up without locations.
  • Modified credit card payment entry and handling for better security compliance.
  • Modified Personal Details correspondence screen so that Win2PDF settings are only checked if user has selected e-mail.
  • Eliminated the need to have separate reports for PDF correspondence. This is because of the issue of saving Specific Printer reports in Access 2007. E-mailed PDF correspondence now uses the standard "Default Printer" reports.   • Software registration form now has a button so that MIE Software can be e-mailed exactly what serial number and registered name is being entered. Software registration process will now detect extra spaces and line breaks from registration name pasted from e-mail.

  • Corrected an error where financial group tax invoices did not display correctly in PDF Arial E-Mail overlay under Access 2007.
  • Corrected display problems on Participation without Flights, Transfers and Accommodation reports.

New Features

  • Modified width of End Time in Running Sheet for neater display.
  • Increased the size of the transaction number field in the Payments Breakdown Report.
  • Increased length of Additional Charges prompt to 28 characters. Only applies to events created with version 9.47 or higher.
  • Improved Confirmed Full and Partial Delegates with no Add-Ons and Confirmed Full and Partial Delegates with no Sessions reports.
  • Modified Reporter extended export to cater for accommodation and hotel bookings that have missing hotel, hotel room or carrier counters.
  • Changed recording of application user name to use logged on Windows user name rather than Access user name. This change has been made for two reasons. 1. most people do not use the Access user name feature, so all users are identified as Admin. 2. Access user based security has been removed from Access 2007 onwards.
  • Modified student assignment marking routine for better error tolerance.<\li>

  • Modified handling of Accommodation deposit GST for on-line registrations so that GST is only calculated if Automatically calculate the GST component of accommodation deposits is checked.
  • Modified creation of tickets process so that if no ticket organisation is present the organisation from Personal Details is used.

  • Update links to MIE WebLink administration site.
  • Improved room night calculation for situations where the same person had multiple shared bookings with different people in the same hotel at the same event.
  • Primary Access window's Close button is now disabled so that users can not accidentally close the application when closing a maximised form or report.
  • When processing MIE WebLink registrations, the registration date recorded in Summit is the date of the registration e-mail, not the date the registration was processed into Summit.
  • Date registered can now be used as a selection criteria on the Tax Invoices Reporter.
  • Modified tax invoices report that is displayed after producing tax invoices and adjustment notes using the correspondence screen to now display amount and GST totals.
