MIE Software Support Note

Subject:

Resolving "invalid page fault in module vba332.dll " message

Applies To: All Microsoft Access 97 Products
Date: 1 November 2000

This problem may occur in the above products if you have been modifying the software and have performed Copy and/or Save As operations on objects which contain code and have then closed down the software package without recompiling.

If you have a full retail copy of Microsoft Access 97 loaded on your computer, take the following steps to resolve this problem:

  1. Start up the software package while holding down the Shift key. This will prevent the  Autoexec macro from running

  2. If the database window is not displayed, press F11 to display it

  3. From the Tools menu, select Options

  4. Click on the Advanced tab, change the project name, and click Apply

  5. Close the Options menu by clicking OK

  6. Click the database Modules tab then select a module that you have design view permission for (such as CurrencyStuff) and click Design

  7. From within Design view, select Debug, then Compile and Save All Modules

  8. Close the module design window and then close down the application.

If you have Access 2000 loaded, or you don't have a full retail copy of Microsoft Access 97 loaded on your computer, take the following steps to resolve this problem:

  1. From your desktop click the Start button, then select Settings and then select Control Panel

  2. In Control Panel select Add/Remove Programs and then completely remove the MIE Software application that is having the invalid page fault.

  3. Restart your computer and then reinstall the MIE Software application.
