It is extremely important that you back up your data files on a regular basis. The data files that need to be backed up are:
These files contain all the information you have entered. To ensure that information is not lost, these files should be backed up and then compacted at the end of each data entry session. To back up your data files take the following steps: If the data file is small enough to fit on a single diskette it can be backed up by taking the following steps. Once the data files become too large to fit on a single diskette, you will need to use your systems backup utility or a product such as WinZip to compact it and or back it up over multiple diskettes. Once you have backed up the data file you should compact it to make sure that the file is not corrupted. To do this take the following steps.
If you think you may have a corrupt data file click here. If you have modified the formltr.doc or any other mail merge documents these should also be backed up if you wish to keep your changes. All other files required by the application can be recovered by re-installing. |
